The Sabin Community Association has received a notice that the neighbors at 1663 NE Prescott will be operating a short-term rental in the 4-bedroom house. They have obtained a Type B permit, which authorizes them to rent 3 bedrooms with 6 guests 270 days per year, and 4 bedrooms with 8 guests the balance of the year. The Sabin Community Association received notice that Peter Kusyk of Firenze Development has applied for a permit to demolish the house at 3904 NE 11th Avenue. The Sabin Community Association has the right to appeal the permit by July 30, 2018, if the Sabin Community Association is pursuing an alternative to demolition. The Sabin Community Association received a major remodel notice for 4706 NE 15th Ave. The owner plans to build a rear-yard addition with living space on the basement and main floor, and an ADU on the second story. The City requires a delay of 35 days from June 20, 2018, so the project cannot begin before July 25. For further information, please contact the LUTC Chair, Rachel Lee, at [email protected].
The Sabin LUTC has received a proposal to replace a glass-block window on the house at 3423 NE 21st Avenue. This property is within the boundaries of the Irvington Historic District and therefore must go through the historic review process. If you have feedback on this proposal, please contact the Sabin LUTC Chair, Rachel Lee, or submit a comment on the proposal directly to the City. The deadline for comments to the City on this proposal is 5:00 pm on June 18, 2018.
